Falsification

Welcome,

it’s been some time since the last post. Today, I’d like to tell you something about physics, again; especially about measurement. Experimental physics are all about falsification and knowing what’s so special about falsification might change your way of thinking. One reason I’d like to talk about this topic is an argument I had with a religious person who just didn’t understand the concept behind it. Another reason is that I’ve rewritten this entire blog, just to add MathJax and show you some formulas.

What Is Discrimination?

Welcome,

there are only a few things being misunderstood as often as the concept of discrimination. So, I decided to explain it in a simple way, show you why discrimination is such a huge problem and give you an idea about how to improve your behaviour. If you strongly identifies with your culture, this whole thing might be confusing and you might feel insulted. That’s okay, feel free to disagree but keep your hatred to yourself. Thank you. Now, with that thing out of the way, let’s start.

Buddhism And Religion

Welcome,

today I’m writing about a topic I already wrote about multiple times. Some of you may know I’m a Buddhist – even if sometimes I don’t like to call myself Buddhist. This has many reasons, one of them being that I don’t really like to explain or to be judged about it. When thinking of Buddhism, many people seem to think of this strange and mythical eastern religion about rebirth and suffering. And the worst part about that is the part where they call it “religion”. Personally, I am not a religious person at all but I’m still a Buddhist and I can sense a lot of misunderstanding comes from calling Buddhism a religion.

Using Dvorak

Welcome,

this is my first blogpost with Dvorak and I’m still very slow but I’d like to tell you why I’ve switched. For those of you who don’t know, Dvorak is a keyboard layout and an alternative to QWERTY and QWERTZ that promises to be a lot faster by grouping commonly used letters, whereas QWERTY and QWERTZ spread them across the keyboard no prevent typewriters from jamming. But since no one uses typewriters any more that’s pretty much obsolete.

[Recommendation Friday] DC Comics

Welcome,

it’s been quiet lately since I’m writing my Bachelor thesis. But of course I still need some time to relax; slow and steady will win the race. So when I’m not doing lots of stuff for university I’m usually sleeping, playing The Witcher 3, reading or watching some show. Today’s suggestions focus will focus on reading, especially some great comic books I started reading recently.

[Recommendation Friday] My Favourite Fairy Tale

Welcome,

it’s friday and I have a special recommendation for you. Today I finally finished reading my favourite series of books. The last one took me about two years. Why did it take so long to read a book, you might ask. Well, I guess I never really wanted to finish it. I didn’t want the story to come to an end. But today it did, vaesse deireadh aep eigean.

Light Amplification by Ztimulated Omission of Radiation

Welcome,

when I asked what interesting topics I could cover someone, came up with lasers since I’m studying physics. We got into conversation about it, I explained that lasers are a pretty simple thing and I realized that it’s anything but common knowledge. So I decided to pick up the topic and explain to you how lasers work and why they are awesome.

Yesod – Feed The Beast

Greetings,

today I’ve added an atom and RSS feed to this weblog. For those of you who don’t know, the whole page is written in Haskell using the Yesod Web Framework. It’s actually very easy to do but not well documented. That’s why I’ve decided to show you how to do it so you can use it for your own purpose.

Yume Nikki – Have A Nice Nightmare

Greetings,

about 1-2 years ago I heard about a game called “Yume Nikki” that was supposed to be an underrated must-play title. It’s available for free and made with RPG Maker 2000. I’ve played some RPG Maker games before and had my first real programming experiences using it to create games myself.

So a while ago I had some free time and finally decided to download the game and play it. I even did a few live streams on it because I though it might be interesting to experience my reactions to this game as I heard it would be a pretty weird game. When I started playing I didn’t really know what to do.

Welcome To My World

Greetings,

so I’m doing this blog thingy again and I think it’s about time to do so. For those of you who knew my last weblog, this one won’t be much personal stuff. Instead I’m going to write some updates on current projects, a few articles about free software and maybe even some posts about philosophy, science and politics. But don’t be too hopeful about the last ones.
